# Set Up Your Doohick Account, Workspace, and Your Team

> Configure your Doohick profile, workspace settings, team roles, security options, and notification preferences to get your account running smoothly.

This page covers everything you need to configure once your Doohick account is live. Work through each section to personalise your profile, tailor your workspace, bring your team on board, lock down security, and tune how you receive notifications.

## Profile settings

Update your personal details at any time by navigating to **Settings → Profile**.

* **Name** — Change your display name as it appears to teammates and in audit logs.
* **Email address** — Enter a new address and confirm it via the verification email Doohick sends automatically.
* **Password** — Click **Change password**, enter your current password, then set a new one. Use at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
* **Avatar** — Upload a profile photo (PNG or JPG, up to 2 MB). Your avatar appears in comments, notifications, and the team directory.

## Workspace settings

Workspace-level settings apply to everyone in your organisation. Navigate to **Settings → Workspace** to configure the following:

* **Workspace name** — Set the name that appears in the top navigation bar and in billing receipts.
* **Timezone** — Choose the timezone used for scheduled reports, dashboard timestamps, and notification delivery times.
* **Language** — Select the interface language. This setting is applied workspace-wide but individual members can override it in their own profile settings.

## Inviting team members

Bring colleagues into your workspace by going to **Settings → Team → Invite**. Enter one or more email addresses, select a role for each person, and click **Send invitations**. Each invitee receives an email with a secure sign-up link.

Assign roles based on what each person needs to do:

| Role | Manage billing | Invite members | Edit resources | View only |
| ------ | :------------: | :------------: | :------------: | :-------: |
| Owner  |        ✓       |        ✓       |        ✓       |     ✓     |
| Admin  |        —       |        ✓       |        ✓       |     ✓     |
| Member |        —       |        —       |        ✓       |     ✓     |
| Viewer |        —       |        —       |        —       |     ✓     |

You can change a member's role or remove them from the workspace at any time from the **Team** settings page.

## Security settings

Protect your account and your team's data with the security controls available under **Settings → Security**.

**Two-factor authentication (2FA)**

<Note>
  Doohick strongly recommends enabling 2FA on every account, especially for Owners and Admins. It is the single most effective way to prevent unauthorised access.
</Note>

Click **Enable 2FA** and scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. Save the one-time backup codes in a secure location — you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator device.

**Session management**

Under **Active sessions**, you can see every device and browser currently logged in to your account. Click **Revoke** next to any session you don't recognise to sign it out immediately.

**Trusted devices**

Mark a device as trusted to skip 2FA prompts on it for up to 30 days. You can revoke trusted device status at any time from the session list.

## Notifications

Fine-tune how Doohick keeps you informed by going to **Settings → Notifications**.

* **Email notifications** — Toggle alerts for events such as new team member invitations, billing receipts, API key creation, and security events like new sign-ins from unrecognised devices.
* **In-app notifications** — Control which events appear in the notification bell inside the dashboard. You can mark all as read or clear your history from the notification panel.

Set the **notification digest** frequency to receive a single daily or weekly summary email instead of individual alerts, keeping your inbox manageable without missing anything important.
